who I am:

Who i am:

I’m Aaron Bigeleisen, professional musician, coach, teacher, and mentor.

I became a youth opera sensation at the age of fifteen. National competitions, radio shows, singing with full orchestras, you name it, I did it. I was the number one “draft pick” in the country, and ended up on a full ride to the best music school in the country.

And then I lost my voice. I tried everything I could get my hands on: speech therapy, ENT visits, extra voice lessons. Nothing worked.

In the process of looking to heal my voice I participated in a four year, 1200 hour teacher training program in a somatic practice called the Alexander Technique, became a national men’s work facilitator, and did years worth of interactive trainings on Internal Family System therapy as well as other parts-based psycho-spiritual practices.

And while this experience does inform what I do, my voice never really began to heal until I found grace for myself and the world around me. I realized I had been trying to fix myself and my voice, rather than learning to love the voice I had.

I also learned I needed to use my voice as a man to speak for those who have a hard time speaking for themselves. I am an earnest advocate against childhood transitioning, and believe strongly in using my voice not just for music but for true advocacy as well.
